Efficiency Model for Traveling Wave-Type Ultrasonic Motors Based on Contact Variables and Preload

The contact interface variables are difficult to measure for an ultrasonic motor. When the motor works under different preloads, error between traditional efficiency model and real output is quite large. In order solve these two problems, we propose a novel model. It takes measured preload feedback voltage data as input, which may offer better accuracy on-line ability. Firstly, effect of on drive characteristics investigated, relationship change in energy input analyzed. Secondly, based built, providing more accurate description variables. Finally, was developed with new composite stator structure. A test rig 60 mm built operating conditions measured. results show that correlation coefficient present 0.991, larger than 0.925 conventional proposed consistent working
